Black and white lantern slide showing a group of African men carrying a large log, which is attached by ropes to a series of poles. Each man holds one end of a pole on his shoulder. An African man in a long, European style jacket and a tall hat can be seen to the side of the image. This slide comes from a set on the activities of the King’s African Rifles battalions in Nyasaland. It was originally held by the Church of Scotland, and generated by J.W MacKay.
