GIS layer of forests currently managed by the NFB under forest regime, on the understanding that those that do not appear are currently unmanaged. The base is public is also accessible under Carmen. What is the forest regime in a few words: Circular Mauguin 2016. Forest belonging to public entities such as local authorities (mairies, departmental and regional councils, associations law 1901) and according to the NFB’s interpretation, there are also hospitals, caisses mutualistes l’institut de France. All inter-communal joint unions are a priori excluded but to be confirmed by the MAA (e.g. basin syndictas...) It does not have an area threshold to adhere to the forest regime. The forest must be managed sustainably with cuttings and works with a management plan. The requirements are, therefore, parcels of wood that are not landlocked, have access to skids, do not have too large slopes, are not used for public parks, health routes or receive the public. In order to qualify for forestry, it is necessary that the municipalities apply for it by deliberation. An NFB expert will then be appointed to review the plots and define the follow-up to be taken. The NFB takes 12 % of the cost of daycare that corresponds to the costs incurred to monitor and perform the work.
