Output Data from Scenario-Based Seismic Risk Assessment in the Timiskaming Region, Eastern Canada

This repository contains two types of files. A Word document (Appendix.docx) that includes tables, figures, and methodological details not published in the main journal article. The remaining files are .mat files containing the seismic risk output for the Timiskaming region under different scenarios and input parameters. The file names indicate the scenario magnitude, the scaling relationships used, the source model generation method, and the site condition model. For example, one of the files is named Mag6.5_L14_fixed_hypocenter_CanadaSHM5_Geology_based, which indicates that the results correspond to a magnitude 6.5 scenario using the L14 scaling relationships, a fixed hypocenter source generation model, the CanadaSHM5 GMMs, and geology-based site conditions. Each .mat file includes: · A table named Exposure, which contains the exposure data used in the analysis; · A double array named IM, which stores the intensity measure values for each exposure. Since 1,000 ground motion simulations were performed for each exposure, this array contains 1,000 simulated values per exposure; · A double array named LOSS_all_risk, which provides 1000 loss values for each exposure, corresponding to the intensity measures; · A double named LOSS_all_risk_sum, which contains the total loss values for the all-building portfolio, sorted in ascending order. Since each exposure has 1000 simulated loss values, this array includes 1000 total loss values for the all-building portfolio; · A double named LOSS_all_risk_on_fault_sum, which provides the sorted total loss for the on-fault buildings portfolio, also containing 1000 total loss values.
