Gravel-Bed Mobilities and Microtopographies for Streams across England and Wales

Data and tools used to quantify sediment transport thresholds (dimensionless critical shear stress, Tau*c) for n=45 upland gravel bedded rivers in England and Wales. The data stored in this repository include: (1) pointcloud data constraining riverbed microtopography for the studied gravel patches; (2) field distributions of grain resistance force, weight and size; (3) code for estimating Tau*c from field distributions using Monte Carlo sampling.
