Genome sequencing and assembly of Adenophora triphylla var. japonica

Adenophora triphylla var. japonica is a perennial plant species belonging to the Campanulaceae family and has long been used as a medicinal and vegetable plant in Korea. The genomic resource of this plant species is very limited for understanding and breeding of this species at the molecular level. Therefore, we assembled the draft genome of a A. triphylla var. japonica accession cultivated in Korea using sequencing data generated by third-generation (TGS) and next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies.
