Thinopyrum elongatum is an important relative of common wheat, and it is favored by harboring abundant genes resistant to biotic and abiotic stress.We used RNA-seq technology to analyze the Th. elongatum shoots and roots transcriptome under water deficit stress for discovery of drought inducible genes with various functions is of great importance for improving crop water deficit tolerance.
