The nematodes treated with 0.08 L/mL octanoic acid for 5 min and 10 min were marked as HC1 and HC2 respectively. LC1 and LC2 represent nematodes treated with 0.03 L/mL octanoic acid for 5 h and 10 h, respectively. Meanwhile, there are also two blank control groups corresponding to the high and low concentration treatments, namely CKL and CKH. Extract RNA from all samples representing three biological replicates of each treatment that constituted 18 samples. Total RNA was extracted by using mirVana miRNA Isolation Kit (Thermo Fisher Scientific, New York, USA) according to the manufacturer's protocol.
