Slovenian enterprises after the introduction of the euro.<br>Topics: time of the beginning of the enterprise‘s preparations for the changeover to euro; approval of the following statements on the company’s activities regarding the changeover: identified the impact for the enterprise, defined the necessary computer adaptation, informed its staff, evaluated the training needs; appointment of a person in charge of coordinating preparations; time of appointing the charged person; assessment of the consequences of the changeover on the enterprise as positive; proceeding regarding the adaptation of computer systems: executed by own staff, outsourcing; readiness of accounting system, invoicing system, and payroll system in time and reasons if not; day until which enterprise received invoices from business partners in tolar; enterprise is a retail enterprise or has other direct financial relations with consumers; time of supply with euro coins and banknotes by the bank; reasons for not being supplied; day or period of fully switching to giving change exclusively in euro; sufficient amount of euro cash for day-to-day transactions in the first week of January 2007; reasons for not having enough euro cash; problems and kind of problems returning national cash to the bank; dealing with the adjustment of psychological prices originally in tolar: exact application of conversion rules, adjusting prices mostly upwards or mostly downwards, partly adjusting upwards and downwards; time of the establishment of prices in euro; experienced problems concerning dual price display: technical problems, calculation errors by the staff, consumer complaints, too time consuming, too costly; intention to continue dual price display beyond the period required by law and intended duration; preferred information sources on the euro: national central bank, European institutions, commercial banks, national government and authorities, consumer associations, media, trade unions and professional organisations; assessment of received information on the euro and the changeover as sufficient; preferred areas to get more information on. Demography: position of respondent at the company; information about the company: company sector, number of employees, turnover. Additionally coded was: date of interview; duration of the interview; NACE-Code; region.
