Tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa L.), a member of Asparagaceae family, allocates remarkable position as a source of essential oil in perfumery industry. Combination of benzenoids and terpenoeids bio-active compounds resulted in its pleasant fragrance. To find more about molecular mechanisms involved in scent biosynthesis pathways , de novo transcriptome sequencing of P. tuberosa 'Mahallati' was carried out at two different developmental stages of flowers.
