A multi-taxon study of evolutionary genomics and historical range dynamics along a broad transect following the Roman amber trading route from the Baltic Sea to the Adriatic Sea. A primary goal is to understand how Pleistocene glacial cycles and landscape structure shaped genomic composition, adaptation, trophic interactions, and secondary contact and admixture across the multiple climatic transitions, mountain ranges, and dispersal corridors along this route.
