资源简介:
The dataset consists of: a. z-stack images (.tiff) of 20 um and 50 um drop diameters at different time intervals for motile bacteria; b. z-stack images (.tiff) of 20 um and 50 um drop diameters at different time intervals for non-motile bacteria; c. z-stack images (.tiff) 20 um and 50 um drop diameters at different surfactant concentrations for motile bacteria; d. z-stack images (.tiff) 20 um and 50 um drop diameters at different surfactant concentrations for non-motile bacteria The data analyzed consists of: a. number of cell and cells normalized with drop surface area as a function of time; b. cell areal density as a function of surfactant concentration; c. interfacial tension as a function of surfactant concentration; c. cell areal density as a function of interfacial tension. This project investigated the effect of bacteria motility and surfactant concentration on the initial adhesion of Marinobacter hydrocarbonoclasticus and Halomonas titnicae at the interface of hexadecane droplets suspended in seawater. This dataset supports the publication of Dewangan, Narendra K. and Conrad, Jacinta C. “Bacterial motility enhances adhesion to oil droplets.” Soft Matter (2020). https://doi.org/10.1039/D0SM00944J
