Climatically Suitable Growth Areas for Eucalyptus fastigata

In its native environment Eucalyptus fastigata is found in large tracts of the high lying mountain slope and coastal escarpment areas generally at altitudes 650 - 1 400 m (CSIRO, 2005). E. fastigata favours cool to warm, sub-humid to humid climates with MAPs exceeding 750 mm and MATs in the range of 14 - 17 degree Celsius (Kunz, 2004).
