This study developed a large-scale online image survey dataset comprising evaluations of 52 sidewalk obstacle images from five groups of mobility aid users: crutch users, pedestrians, mobility scooter users, manual wheelchair users, and power wheelchair users. The dataset was collaboratively constructed by researchers from the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington, the College of Disability and Human Development at the University of Illinois Chicago, and the Department of City and Regional Planning at the University of California, Berkeley. Its core purpose is to supply user profile information for the development of personalized accessibility maps and routing tools. Images were collected through the Project Sidewalk platform, and the dataset was categorized based on obstacle type and severity level. Research findings reveal that perceptions of sidewalk obstacles vary across different mobility aid user groups; these data can be employed to optimize navigation systems and urban planning, thereby better meeting the demands of diverse user populations.
