Generating a Dataset for Detection and Extraction of Camera-Inserted Dates from Images

• These data offer a standardized dataset for evaluating the camera inserted date-stamp images and developing a mechanism to detect and recognize the date-stamp for filtering or sorting the images with in a short period which makes people life more easier and comfortable. • Researchers in fields such as image processing, machine learning, and data analytics can leverage these data to explore new methodologies for date stamp extraction and enhance accuracy in date-based image retrieval. Besides, general people will find their target images by using the mechanism which includes camera inserted date-stamp feature. • The dataset supports the development of automated tools and software applications aimed at organizing and searching large collections of images based on camera inserted date-stamp, improving efficiency in image management and retrieval tasks. To collect data, I traveled to various locations, including Rajshahi, Dhaka, Sirajganj, and Natore, to capture images of class notes, buildings, nature, homes, dresses, consumables, rivers, and more. These images were taken at different times of the day and night, across various dates, using devices such as Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi Note 7 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy A14 and some different format date of images for example (2024/03/11 or 12/23/2019 or 12 08 2019 or 5 april 2024). . This diverse dataset ensures variability in lighting, environments, and subjects. Contributes to data collection with 65% of photos captured during the day and 35% captured at night. This approach utilizes the strengths of each device to ensure comprehensive photo documentation across different lighting conditions. The main purposes of the data are given in the below 1. • 本数据集为评估嵌入相机时间戳(camera inserted date-stamp)的图像提供了标准化基准,同时可用于开发检测、识别该时间戳的机制,以实现图像的快速筛选与排序,进而提升民众的生活便捷性与舒适度。 • 图像处理、机器学习、数据分析等领域的研究者可借助本数据集,探索时间戳提取的全新方法,提升基于日期的图像检索准确率。此外,普通用户亦可通过集成相机嵌入时间戳特征的该机制,快速定位目标图像。 • 本数据集可助力开发自动化工具与软件应用,用于基于相机嵌入时间戳对大规模图像集进行整理与检索,有效提升图像管理与检索任务的执行效率。 为采集数据集,笔者前往拉杰沙希(Rajshahi)、达卡(Dhaka)、锡拉杰甘杰(Sirajganj)、纳托尔(Natore)等多地,拍摄了课堂笔记、建筑、自然景观、住宅、服饰、日用品、河流等多类图像。这些图像由Redmi Note 5 Pro、Redmi Note 7 Pro、Samsung Galaxy A14等设备拍摄,拍摄时段涵盖昼夜不同时刻,日期跨度广泛,且包含多种日期格式,例如(2024/03/11、12/23/2019、12 08 2019、5 april 2024)。本多样化数据集确保了光照条件、拍摄环境与拍摄主体的丰富差异性。 本次数据采集的65%为日间拍摄照片,35%为夜间拍摄照片。该采集方案充分利用各设备的拍摄优势,确保在不同光照条件下均可实现全面的图像记录。 本数据集的核心用途如下: 1. 从图像中检测并提取日期信息 2. 基于日期检索目标图像
