Ecology Lab 2 - Woodlot

This lab took place on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 2:30 – 5:30pm. The lab was conducted in the woodlot/forest area on the York University Campus outside of the Lumbers building. In a group, we walked a straight line from the edge of the woodlot to the center and every time we encountered an adult tree we measured the diameter at breast height and observed the condition. We then measured the distance between the tree and the next closet adult tree. All measurements were made using a measuring tape. This process was completed a total of 10 times, using a total of 20 trees along the path.本实验于2014年9月24日周三下午2:30至5:30开展。实验场地设于约克大学校园内Lumbers大楼外侧的林地/林区。实验以小组形式进行：我们从林地边缘沿直线行进至林区中心，每遇及一棵成年乔木，便测定其胸径并记录其生长状况；随后测量该树与下一棵最近的成年乔木之间的距离。所有测量工作均使用卷尺完成。本次实验流程总计开展10次，整条采样路径共涉及20棵乔木。
