Groote Eylandt Environmental Survey 2017, Northern Territory (ALC)

Stereo BRUVSCTDMultibeamSinglebeamBRUVS, single beam and multibeam surveys in inshore waters around Groote Island as part of a project which aims to combine indigenous knowledge and scientific surveys to assess habitats and biodiversity of the Groote Island Indigenous Protected Area (IPA), and provide a baseline for environmental health of the IPA.This research was a collaborative co-funded project with the Anindilyakwa Land Council (ALC). The 2017 fieldwork planning and execution was conducted collaboratively with Anindilyakwa Land & Sea Rangers, and intellectural property rights are jointly held by AIMS and ALC.
