Boorabee and The Willows IPA Vegetation 2015. VIS_ID 4775

Landmark Ecological Services Pty Ltd (Landmark) was engaged by the Nature Conservation Council (NCC) to conduct fine-scale mapping of vegetation, at Boorabee and The Willows, an Indigenous Protected Area (IPA) on the Severn River in the Northern Tablelands. Initial air photo interpretation (API) had previously been undertaken by the Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) for Willows-Boorabee, including identification of recommended ground truthing points. The OEH mapping provided a base-map with lineworkbased on obvious patterns in vegetation detected during API. NCC then contracted Landmark to undertake the ground-truthing, further air interpretation and final production of the maps for this project.\r\n\r\nBoorabee and The Willows IPA is approximately 2752 ha in area and is located approximately 45km north-west of Glen Innes and 12 kilometres from Emmaville on the Northern Tablelands of NSW. Willows and Boorabee are divided by the Severn River with Boorabee to the west. The soils are mainly derived from Emmaville Volcanics with a smaller area to the east of Willows derived from Webbs Consols Leucogranite. 兰马克生态服务私人有限公司（Landmark Ecological Services Pty Ltd，简称Landmark）受自然保护委员会（Nature Conservation Council, NCC）委托，在位于新南威尔士州北部台地塞文河沿岸的原住民保护区（Indigenous Protected Area, IPA）博拉比（Boorabee）与柳树保护区（The Willows）区域开展植被精细制图工作。此前，环境与遗产办公室（Office of Environment and Heritage, OEH）已针对Willows-Boorabee区域完成初步航片解译（air photo interpretation, API）工作，包括确定推荐的地面验证点位。OEH的制图成果以航片解译过程中观测到的植被显著分布特征为依据，生成了带线条图层的底图。随后NCC委托Landmark承接本项目的地面验证、进一步航片解译及最终地图制作工作。

博拉比与柳树原住民保护区总面积约2752公顷，地处新南威尔士州北部台地，距格兰因内斯（Glen Innes）西北约45公里，距埃马维尔（Emmaville）12公里。塞文河将Willows与Boorabee区域分隔，Boorabee位于河西岸。区域土壤主要由埃马维尔火山岩（Emmaville Volcanics）发育形成，柳树保护区东部小范围区域的土壤则源自韦伯斯康索斯淡色花岗岩（Webbs Consols Leucogranite）。该区域海拔范围为700米至840米（ASL，平均海平面基准）。
