Energy production from renewable municipal waste in Sweden 2013-2018

Primary energy production from renewable municipal waste has oscillated in Sweden, peaking at 908 metric kilotons of oil equivalent in 2015. By 2018, figures decreased by nearly 184 metric kilotons of oil equivalent compared to the peak year. In 2018, total primary energy production from renewable municipal waste in the EU-28 amounted to 9,993 metric kilotons of oil equivalent. Sweden's energy production accounted with roughly seven percent from the total EU-28 energy production from municipal waste.
