The Latin American Legislators Dataset is a large data collection effort containing data on all elected legislators in the 18 Latin American countries with competitive elections since 1978 or transition to democracy. It includes data on both lower and upper chambers in bicameral parliaments, as well as unicameral parliaments, and currently comprises 25,858 observations of 17,080 unique legislators in 240 elections. The main advantage of the dataset lies in its utilization for the study of parliamentary elites, its gendered dimensions, and district magnitude and its changes in the region.
