This dataset contains the PlanetCARMA model output for four simulations that were conducted as part of the research presented in the paper, "A 1-D microphysical model of the Venus cloud system between 40 km and 80 km including photochemistry and radiative-dynamic feedback," by McGouldrick, K. and Barth, E. L., submitted to Geophysical Research Letters. The data contain microphysical quantities in filenames that begin with "carma_mp-*" and radiative transfer quantities in filenames that begin with "carma_rt-*" The primary input quantities that were varied in these simulations are the diurnal period -- which in this case is a proxy for the zonal wind that carries the modelled column around the planet so that it experiences the rising and setting of the Sun -- and the efficiency of CCN self-coagulation. The four simulations are named as follows (the partial filenames listed below follow the : test-zd.nc: 8d diurnal period; CCN self coagulation prohibitedtest-zc.nc: 6d diurnal period; CCN self coagulation prohibitedtest-zb.nc: 8d diurnal period; CCN self coagulation permittedtest-za.nc: 6d diurnal period; CCN self coagulation permitted The simulations were run for 8 model years (2923 model days), where day here means one Earth day of 86400. seconds. The radiative transfer quantity files are approximately 5GB each, while the microphysics quantity files are approximately 600MB each. All files are NetCDF.
