A study was undertaken to explore the potential links between bacteria diversity and marine environment in the Jiaojiang Estuary in East China Sea, which helps examine the effects of chemical pollution to bacterial communities in coastal waters. Abiotic and biotic factors were identified, and different patterns of environment-bacteria interactions were revealed.
