Metagenomic next-generation sequencing can aid in the diagnosis of cat-scratch disease.

Cat-scratch disease (CSD), caused by Bartonella henselae, is a zoonotic infection and is one of the prevalent causes of lymph node infections. Here, we present a case of CSD, which was diagnosed using metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) manifesting as fever and lymphadenopathy. His symptoms were finally alleviated through the combination of doxycycline and rifampin.
