R. KH. AMINOVA'S SOURCE-BASED ANALYSIS OF AGRARIAN TRANSFORMATION AND REASSESSING COLLECTIVIZATION IN UZBEKISTAN

This article examines the agrarian history of Uzbekistan through the scholarly works of R. Kh. Aminova, focusing on her conceptual and source-based interpretation of collectivization and its long-term consequences. The study highlights that Aminova does not treat collectivization as a purely administrative or economic process, but rather as a complex transformation that reshaped rural socio-economic relations, production systems, and everyday life. Drawing extensively on archival documents, official reports, and rare primary sources, the author critically reassesses the widely held notion of the stability and effectiveness of collective farms, revealing persistent organizational, economic, and social challenges.
