LifeWatch ERIC Metadata Catalogue

The LifeWatch ERIC Metadata Catalogue is a GeoNetwork-based platform for creating, managing and publishing metadata about resources related to biodiversity and ecosystem domain. Mainly built on the Ecological Metadata Language 2.2.0, ISO 19139 and European Open Science Cloud standards, it guarantees records are Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR). In doing so, it enables structured and standardised information to be openly available, promoting reuse, sharing, and integration by research communities, policymakers, and other stakeholders. The Catalogue has already been adopted in several European projects and research initiatives, acting as a single access point for the discovery and access of tailored digital resources, increasing their visibility and findability.
