Holographic approach of the spinodal instability to criticality
收藏资源简介:
A possible signature of the first-order phase transition studied at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider and at other hadron accelerators, like FAIR or SPS, is the spinodal instability. In the gauge/gravity duality the spinodal instability in a first-order thermal phase transition corresponds to a Gregory-Laflamme type of instability. The implemented planar symmetry on the gravity side reduces the dynamics to $1+1$ dimensions in the gauge theory. In this dataset, I publish this boundary data of several simulations each in its respective archive. The simulations are all for different subcritical theories as the first set of evolution published in arXiv:1703.02948 and arXiv:1905.12544. They are far from and near a critical point hence having a stronger or softer first-order phase transition. The simulations use different initial states (initial homogeneous energy density or initial excitation) and longitudinal extent, but are all on a circle in that longitudinal direction due to the periodic boundary condition. Most evolution finish in the preferred universal final state with a single phase separated domain. Their detailed physical analysis can be found in the upcoming paper arXiv:2012.15687. 000_Readme.txt provides a quick explanation on the content of each archive. I also provide an optional Mathematica script to plot properties of the stress tensor.
