Floodplain (ÜSG)
Floodplains (ÜSG) are areas that are flooded in the event of flooding of an above-ground body of water. The establishment of the SPAs is carried out on the basis of different criteria (Water Act § 65). The following shall be considered as defined flood plains without any further determination being necessary: - areas between surface waters and dams or high banks, - areas where a flood event is statistically expected to occur once every 100 years, and - areas claimed for flood relief or retention on the basis of a plan approval or plan approval. Furthermore, SPAs may be defined by statutory instrument. The use in the SPA is restricted by water law requirements (Water Budget Act § 78 and § 78 a+c). Further information can be obtained from the lower water authorities in the city and districts.
