In this study, we analyzed the global transcriptional changes induced in dendritic cells by Murine Cytomegalovirus infection. Considering the in vivo dynamics of DC activation/differentiation, the relative paucity of MCMV+ DC in vivo and the epigenetic changes likely conferred by tissue environments, we used controlled, synchronized in vitro MCMV infection of DC as a starting point for analysis.
