Cross-Border Labour Exchange, 1994

The purpose with the project was to study social dumping after the European Economic Area Agreement. The focus was on changes in Norwegian regulations for labor immigration in connection with the EEA Agreement, and the consequences for foreign employees in offshore and oil related construction industry. Register data was gathered from The Central Office Foreign Tax Affairs for 1987-1992, which contains the following types of information: income, number of working days, income per day, average length of work and nationality for foreign employees in Norway. The number of cases differs from year to year: from 1447 in 1987 to 10125 in 1992.
