Prosome length as well as carbon and nitrogen content of Calanus finmarchicus from the North Atlantic collected during Maria S. Merian cruise MSM26 in spring 2013@en

The prosome length of copepods from each station was measured on board with a dissecting microscope equipped with an ocular micrometer. Individuals were placed in pre-weighed tin caps and dried for 48 h at 60°C on board. Dry samples were transferred to the AWI and weighed again. Copepod dry mass was then calculated as the difference between the empty weight and the weight of the tin cap containing one individual. The content of carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) then was analysed with a CN-analyser (EuroEA Element Analyser, Hekatech) with acetanilide as standard.各采样站位的桡足类体前部（prosome）长度均在船上通过配备目镜测微尺的解剖显微镜进行测定。将单个桡足类个体置于预称重后的锡帽内，随后在船上以60℃条件下烘干48小时。烘干后的样品被转移至AWI并进行二次称重。随后通过空锡帽的重量与装载单个桡足个体的锡帽重量之差，计算得到桡足类干重。随后采用以乙酰苯胺为标准物质的碳氮元素分析仪（CN-analyser，EuroEA元素分析仪，Hekatech）对样品的碳（C）与氮（N）含量进行分析。
