Investigating the microbiota of Drosophila melanogaster and Drosophila suzukii to understand molecular mechanisms of the symbioses. Acetobacteraceae

Genome comparisons between different species of Acetobacter and Gluconobacter originating from Drosophila melonogaster and Drosophila suzukii. This study will aid in the understanding of the Drosophila microbiota and its effects on physiology and immunology. We have 18 strains of Acetobacter, 2 strains of Gluconobacter and a Commensilabacter.
