Dataset - Geological Record of Atmospheric Nitrogen Fixation During Explosive Super-Eruptions: The Case of Tecopa Basin, California

This data table presents concentrations (Cl⁻, NO₃⁻, SO₄²⁻), isotopic signatures (δ¹⁷O, δ¹⁸O, Δ¹⁷O, and δ¹⁵N) of nitrates, and the ash proportion in volcanic and sedimentary samples collected from the Tecopa Basin, California, USA. These data were used to study atmospheric nitrogen fixation by volcanic lightning and allowed comparison of atmospheric nitrate enrichment between volcanic and sedimentary deposits, and support the findings presented in "Geological Record of Atmospheric Nitrogen Fixation during Explosive Super-Eruptions: the Case of Tecopa Basin, California".
