Methanethiol Chemistry Simulations

This dataset contains model output files from GEOS-Chem simulations that include methanethiol (MeSH) chemistry and simulation. The outputs cover the year 2018, and include key species such as MeSH, DMS, MSA, SO₂, and SO₄. Two ZIP archives are provided: · BASE_output.zip – Contains specific output NetCDF files generated by GEOS-Chem with extended DMS chemistry · MOD_output.zip – Contains specific output NetCDF files generated by GEOS-Chem in presence of methanethiol emission and chemistry along with the extended DMS chemistry. The simulations were performed using GEOS-Chem version 12.9.3 with modifications to the chemical oxidation scheme to account for DMS and methanethiol oxidation pathways
