资源简介:
CPER Soil Survey - Data for the CPER soil survey were collected during 1990 and 1991. Soils were mapped using 1:12000 (8.3 cm/km) color infrared aerial photos as basemaps. The survey covers the entire CPER, including private land holdings within its boundaries. This survey was initiated at the request of USDA –ARS and Colorado State University, and was considered a prototype research area soil survey by the Soil Conservation Service (now Natural Resources Conservation Service). As such, the area was mapped independently of the existing Weld County North soil survey, and contains soil series not contained in the former, as well as newly identified series. All soils were described by genetic horizon to approximately 2 m and classified according to Soil Taxonomy. Seven representative pedons were analyzed at the National Soil Survey Laboratory, Lincoln, Nebraska. Analyses included: particle size (including fractionation of sand, silt and clay); organic C; total N; dithionate-citrate extractable Fe, Mn and Al; CEC; bulk density; available H2O; sand, silt and clay mineralogy. Soil samples were not archived. The soil map was digitized using GRAS software.
