Chlorophyll and phaeopigments in surface sediment profile PE225-22@en

Chlorophyll a and Phaeopigments were extracted with acetone 90% from freezed dried sediment following the method of Yentsch & Menzel (1963): A method for the determination of phytoplankton chlorophyll a and phaeophytin by fluorescence. Chlorophyll a and Phaeopigments were measured with a Turner 700 fluorometre following Shuman and Lorenzen (1975): Quantitative degradation of chlorophyll by a marine herbivore, Limnology and Oceanography, 20.按照Yentsch与Menzel（1963）在《深海研究》（Deep-Sea Res）第10卷第221至231页发表的《荧光法测定浮游植物叶绿素a与脱镁叶绿素的方法》一文的标准流程，以90%丙酮为萃取剂，从冷冻干燥沉积物中提取叶绿素a（Chlorophyll a）与脱镁色素（Phaeopigments）；随后参照Shuman与Lorenzen（1975）发表于《湖沼学与海洋学》（Limnology and Oceanography）第20卷的《海洋草食动物对叶绿素的定量降解》一文的方法，使用Turner 700型荧光光度计完成两种目标物质的定量检测。
