Linking shifts in bacterial community with changes in dissolved organic matter pool in a tropical lake

We applied a high-resolution taxonomic community examination to characterize changes in the bacterioplankton and link this to the dynamics of the dissolved organic matter (DOM) pool. The study aims to deepen our understanding of bacterial community structure shifts on DOM dynamics in tropical lakes, through a factorial mesocosm experiment where DOM pools were manipulated through additions of allochthonous DOM and inorganic nutrients.
