Data for publication "Sensitivity of precipitation and temperature over the Mount Kenya area to physics parameterization options in a high-resolution model simulation performed with WRFV3.8.1"

The data are made available as part of the paper "Sensitivity of precipitation and temperature over the Mount Kenya area to physics parameterization options in a high-resolution model simulation performed with WRFV3.8.1", published in <em>Geoscientific Model Development (GMD) </em>in 2021 (https://doi.org/10.5194/gmd-14-2691-2021). This data set incorporates selected postprocessed files needed to reproduce the results presented in the paper. The files are named following the same structure: <br> VARIABLE-DOMAIN-Kenya-EXPERIMENTNAME-SETUP-2008_monthly.nc These are the options available in each case: - VARIABLE: RR or T2, representing precipitation or 2-meter temperature respectively. - DOMAIN: D02, D03 or D04 representing the number of the domain. - EXPERIMENTNAME: Europe, SouthAmerica, Cumulus3, Cumulus3-1Way or NoCumulus. These are the <br> names included in Table 1 from the paper. - SETUP: 27km4Doms, 25km3Doms, 9km3Doms or 5km2Doms. It specifies the resolution of the parent <br> domain and the number of total domains included in that set-up. <strong>Update v1.1.1: </strong>A zip file (Scripts.zip) including all the scripts used to read, process and plot the data from the model is now included. <strong>Update v1.2: </strong>A new zip file (Namelist_Files.zip) including all the namelist files used to run the simulations is now added. The files are named following the same structure: <br> namelist.EXPERIMENTNAME_SETUP <strong>Update v1.2.1: </strong>The correct version of the namelist files was uploaded. <strong>Update v1.3:</strong> The correct nc files for the experiments included in the final version of the manuscript were uploaded.
