Plume-induced destabilization of rift zones on Venus

This archive contains a selection of output files as well as sample parameter files for the models presented in the manuscript titled, "Plume-induced destabilization of rift zones on Venus". Models were run using StagYY (Tackley, 2008) and post-processing was done using StagLab 6.0 software (Crameri, 2021). <br> <br> The temperature, viscosity, and velocity-pressure output files are given for at least one representative time step for each model, which if plotted depicts either a peel-back delamination or stagnant-lid tectonic regime. The majority of models also include output files from an earlier time showing the initial stages of plume-lithosphere interaction. <br> <br> In the par files folder, a selection of three sample par files are given, corresponding to 150, 200, and 250 km-thick lithosphere. Additional parameters were varied, including 'plumeRadius', 'B_crust', and 'gap_length', which control the radius of the plume, the compositional buoyancy of the crust, and the width of the rift zone, respectively.
