Klebsiella pneumoniae Genome sequencing. Klebsiella pneumoniae

K. pneumoniae CRE146 was isolated from a patient after repeated CZA exposure, and showed resistance towards ceftazidime:avibatam, amikacin, tobramycin, tigecycline and sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim. Notably, sanger sequence revealed the presence of a novel KPC-12 variant which confers its ceftazidime:avibatam resistance. CRE146 also exhibits high virulence in Quantitative siderophore production assay, serum resistance assay and G. mellonella in vivo infection model.Thus, we applied WGS to investigate the strcture of chromosome and plasmids of CRE146 .
