Sea Turtles and the Environmental Management of Industrial Activities in North West W.A. - Hatchling wavelength preference

Green turtle and flatback hatchlings from Barrow Island and hawksbill hatchlings from Varanus Island in the Lowendal Group were collected and used in experiments to assess the preference of these species to short or long light wavelengths.

Data obtained from these experiments combined with light emission analyses in Chapter 5 of the thesis are used to identify the lights that are potentially the most disruptive to hatchlings on Barrow, Lowendal, Montebello (B-L-M) complex nesting beaches.
