This article analyzes the role, significance, and promising possibilities of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the education system in the context of modern digital transformation. The article covers the issues of personalizing the educational process, improving curricula, introducing virtual assistants, and expanding the possibilities of distance learning. Also, based on foreign experience, the influence of AI technologies on the activities of teachers, the automation of assessment processes, and their role in the democratization of global education are considered. The article substantiates that AI is an innovative and effective factor in improving the quality of education and focuses on ethical aspects in the field.
