Sedimentological and geochemical investigations of samples from a continuous Pliocene to Pleistocene lacustrine section on the northern Tibetan plateau

Here we present carbonate content (%CaCO3) and carbonate stable isotopes including Δ47, as well as grain size and a suite of organic proxies including total nitrogen (TN), total organic carbon (TOC), carbon to nitrogen ratios (C/N), and carbon isotope ratios in organic matter (δ13Corg) obtained from a continuous Pliocene to Pleistocene (from 4.3 Ma to 0.8 Ma) lacustrine record from the Kunlun Pass (KP) site (35°39’N, 94°03’E), northern Tibetan plateau. We further provide 1) cross plots of δ18Oc and ∆47-based temperature and calculation relates to lake temperature-mean annual air temperature transfer as well as surface uplift, 2) The temperature-∆47 calibration comparison, 3) Permafrost thaw and carbon loss calculation.

本报告呈现了自上新世至更新世(距今4.3百万年至0.8百万年)连续沉积的昆仑山口(KP)地区(北纬35°39’,东经94°03’)湖泊记录中的碳酸盐含量(%CaCO3)及碳酸盐稳定同位素(包括Δ47),此外,还包括粒度及一系列有机地球化学指标,如全氮(TN)、总有机碳(TOC)、碳氮比(C/N)和有机物中的碳同位素比值(δ13Corg)。进一步提供以下内容:1)基于δ18Oc和Δ47的温度交叉图及与湖泊温度、年均气温转换及地表抬升相关的计算;2)温度-Δ47校准比较;3)永冻土融化及碳损失计算。
