Toccatina (solo piano)

Toccatina is a brisk solo piano work which blends rhythmic influence from the piano works of Einojuhani Rautavaara with overtly popular contemporary harmony. Taken from the composer's first set of published compositions, the piece contrasts against its siblings Dusk and Birds to convey an energy (or an image) that is more bustling and metropolitan in nature.
