RNA-seq analysis of photosynthteic Ericaceae plant, Enkianthus perulatus

Comparative transcriptome analysis of two Ericaceae plants, Monotropastrumhumilie and Enkianthus perulatus, is a useful approach to obtain newinsights on plastid and peroxisome functions in mycoheterotrophicnon-photosynthetic plant, M. humile. All plastid and peroxisomal gene wererevealed to be expressed in E. perulatus. This is the first report showingthe comparison of plastid and peroxisome functions between photosyntheticand non-photosynthetic plants in mycoheterotrophic plants.
