Judicial internationalisation of domestic law: data

This dataset contains the research data associated with judicial internationalisation of Australian domestic law. It is part of an ARC Discovery project, which investigates the Australian High Court's impact and engagement within the international community. It produces new theoretical and comparative insights on the Court’s decision-making, from the twin perspectives of its impact upon the world and the world’s impact upon it. The project produces public web-based resources and the research data comprises materials necessary to survey relevant courts and their judgments from 1990 to 2010. This includes Professor Bryan Horrigan's public submissions and focus group documents on matters going through the parliament that relate to the project and case studies of various jurisdictions (including the incidence of High Court of Australia decisions mentioned in overseas jurisdictions). The associated conference and expert workshop, "Through the Looking Glass", which was held 2-3 December, 2010, brought together international and Australian audiences from government, academia, the courts, and the broader legal profession to discuss international, comparative, and national perspectives on municipal judicial engagement with international and foreign law. The Keynote speaker was The Honorable Patrick Anthony Keane, Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Australia. There are conference presentations, sound recordings from the conference, transcripts from expert roundtable discussions and power point slides.
