This dataset comprises 9,000 preprocessed images of ridge gourd (Luffa) plant leaves, categorized into three groups: Healthy, Leaf Miner Infestation, and Mosaic Virus. The images were collected and augmented for use in plant disease detection tasks. Each of the 600 original leaf images (300 healthy + 300 diseased) was resized to 224\u00d7224 pixels and processed using 15 distinct preprocessing techniques, resulting in a balanced dataset with 4,500 images per class.The 15 preprocessing variants applied to each image include:Original (resized)GrayscaleBlack & White ThresholdCLAHE (Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization)Gaussian BlurMedian BlurBilateral FilterAdaptive Mean ThresholdAdaptive Gaussian ThresholdCanny Edge DetectionSobel Edge DetectionGamma Correction (\u03b3 = 1.5)HSV Color JitterImage Rotation (+30\u00b0)Horizontal FlippingThe diseased images are subdivided into two folders \u2014 Leaf_Minor_Infestation and Mosaic_Virus \u2014 based on their visual symptoms, such as white trails, leaf necrosis, and yellow mosaic patterns. All images are saved in .jpg (JPEG) format with moderate compression, providing an optimal balance between quality and file size.This dataset is ideal for researchers working in precision agriculture, deep learning-based plant disease detection, computer vision, and AI-powered crop health monitoring systems.
