Parasitic plant nematodes cause significant economic losses in agriculture, with Ditylenchus dipsaci ranking among the top ten most important species and posing a major threat to garlic and onion production. Here, we report the genome sequencing of D. dipsaci from Mexico and an integrated transcriptomic analysis of its interaction with garlic at key infection time points, the initial contact with garlic, 24 h, and 72 h post-inoculation. Garlic slices were used for the transcriptomic analysis. RNA from garlic slices at the same time points but without nematodes were used as control of the experiment.
