资源简介:
Background. Fish allergy is a widespread food allergy. Clinical reactivity patterns vary along with exposure to specific fishes. IgE-serology using a component-resolved approach appears to improve the patient managment. Aims. To analyze the native and recombinant fish parvalbumins as to their value as diagnostic reagents. Methods. Parvalbumins were cloned, expressed in E. coli and following, compared with their native counterpart in IgE-binding studies using patient sera. Results and conclusions. Both native and recombinant parvalbumins are valuable tools to support the diagnosis of a food allergy to fish.
