Tidal marsh biomass through UAVs: global & species-specific RFR model datasets

Data collected during both aboveground biomass field campaigns (summer 2025, and winter 2026) in the Scheldt basin (Saeftinghe marshes). The datasets are used to model biomass in a heterogeneous 50 ha section of the marsh, encompassing different marsh developmental stages. Two model techniques are applied; a global random forest regressor, and a species-specific random forest regressor ensemble. Biomass is collected in a 40 by 40 cm grid, so given dry biomass values are in g/pixel = g/0.16m².
