Comparative transcriptome analysis indicated that expression of apoptosis-related MX1 and MMP9 was suppressed in TR7 cells both before and during viral infection. Meanwhile, CDKN2A was upregulated in TR7 cells, and CCND3 and CASP7 were upregulated in MDCK cells, which supported that cell cycle arrest in TR7cells benefited influenza virus production. MDCK and TR7 cells were either infected with A/Panama/H3N2 or mock infected with PBS. The purpose of this study is to show the difference in RNA expression in both cultured cells over time by microarray analysis.
