Crustal Structure of the Lunar Farside from the High-Resolution Gravity Data

Using the high-resolution gravity and topography data, we constructed a two-layer model to investigate the crustal density structure of farside highlands. We adopted the effective density method developed by Wieczorek et al.(2013) and Besserer et al.(2014), and used the SHTOOLS software package to calculate the effective density of the lunar crust. During this process, we also used a multi-taper spectral analysis technique to localize the data. In the model parameter inversion process, we employed a free grid search method and determined the model parameters by calculating the minimum chi-square value between the observed spectrum and the theoretical spectrum. Monte Carlo simulations were used to assess the uncertainty of the inversion results. This archive contains the code of our work and the results obtained by us. The numbers 10, 85, 30 in the filename refer to the angular radius, spectral bandwidth, and number of spherical cap windows used in the multi-taper analysis process. Files with the suffixes *_lower* and *_upper* represent the 1-σ lower and upper limits for each parameter, respectively, and the file without a suffix contain the best inversion results for each parameter.
